Aqsa was amazing for the physiotherapy on my teenage son’s knees. Her hands on treatment along with laser therapy saw great progress in a short period of time. She gave him a reasonable set of exercises with clear explanations that he was able to follow along with easily. Highly recommend and will keep her in mind for future needs

I’ve been getting my therapy at MedRehab Clinic and have had a really great experience so far. Amarjot, my physiotherapist, is very knowledgeable, patient, and takes the time to explain everything properly. Supreet, the PTA, is also very helpful and caring during the sessions. Kulvir, the massage therapist, provides excellent treatment and always makes sure I’m comfortable. The front desk team, Jazz and Jaya, are friendly, welcoming, and helpful every time I visit. Overall, the whole team provides excellent service and genuinely cares about their patients. I’m very happy with my experience at MedRehab Clinic and would definitely recommend them.

We used MedRehab group in Georgetown for my daughter. She saw Kripali. Kripali was knowledgeable, caring, and helped support my daughters recovery. Jaya and Jazz at the front desk were friendly and were able to assist me with booking appointments around our busy schedules.

I’ve been coming twice a week for the last few months to help resolve a neck issue. Aqsa has worked wonders with the help of Supreet and I am feeling better than I have in a long time. Jaya and Jazz are always ready to welcome me at the front with smiling faces. I would highly recommend their services! 10/10 service.

I’ve been coming here for help with shoulder pain and they’re great! All the staff members are very kind, starting right at the door with Jazz who has always been very sweet and helpful to me. Aqsa is my physiotherapist and she’s been beyond wonderful throughout my recovery, always happy to see me and providing great stretches and treatment. I’ve also had Supreet helping me, and she’s great! Both Aqsa and Supreet have been instrumental in my recovery, and I cannot recommend them enough!

I’d like to start by saying that my massage therapist, Hardik, recommended this clinic for physiotherapy, and I’m so glad he did. From my very first visit, the front desk staff have been incredibly warm and welcoming. They always greet me by name, and I especially appreciate the patience and understanding they showed when I was initially late for appointments and even missed one. If you’re attending physiotherapy, chances are your schedule is already full of medical appointments, and they never once made me feel uncomfortable or judged for the scheduling inconveniences I caused. Supreet, who administers the ultrasound and electrical stimulation treatments, is always pleasant, kind, and professional. She consistently makes each visit a positive experience. My physiotherapist, Amarjot, has also been exceptional. She is patient, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. She regularly checks in to see how each exercise feels, especially when introducing new ones to challenge my recovery, ensuring I’m comfortable while still making progress. She has educated me on the importance of strengthening surrounding muscles as they impact the overall mobility of my knee and ability to bear weight. We’ve had some difficulty finding a knee brace that fits properly, but I have complete confidence in the professionalism and dedication of this team. I truly believe they’ll find the right solution to provide the support I need. Overall, I’ve had a wonderful experience at this clinic and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient-focused care.

I've experienced my second traumatic knee dislocation and i'd still be bedridden if it wasn't for Aqsa (PT), Surpreet & Jazz! These ladies have quite literally given me my quality of life back. I'm not 100% yet but I know stairs and driving aren't too far away... Aqsa is incredibly knowledgeable, has angelic healing hands, and everyones bedside manner and professionalism is top notch. I feel seen, heard, validated when I go there. The methods used are so restorative, what took me MONTHS to accomplish previously with other PT's in 2018 only took me a few weeks with MedRehab. I look forward to seeing you all again soon, and to 'getting my groove back'. I'll be running around in circles in no time. Thank you again, I don't know what I would do without you all. Thank you for teaching me how to walk again. <3 Can not reccomend Aqsa to anyone who is in such pain and needs help. You won't be disappointed.

When I found myself in need of physio, I turned to Google. After reading many reviews, it lead me to meet the great group at MedRehab Georgetown. You are welcomed by the lovely team at the front desk, who will go above and beyond to accommodate your schedule and assist with insurance inquiries without hesitation. Aqsa is fantastic! She has great energy, and takes the time to explain the treatment plan to benefit your overall health and success. She does some of exercises along with you to be sure you're comfortable with them. You come first, and she adjusts the treatment for you if needed. Aqsa and her assistant Supreet compliment each other well and that shows in their client care. MedRehab Georgetown is a wonderful clinic. They are all your biggest cheerleaders in your physiotherapy journey, which is appreciated more than they know.

Physiotherapy Georgetown

MedRehab Group Georgetown is a physiotherapy clinic at 99 Sinclair Avenue, Unit 110, at Guelph Street in Georgetown, serving Halton Hills, Acton and the rural areas west to Erin. Five registered physiotherapists work here alongside acupuncture, massage therapy, chiropractic and osteopathy, and the clinic is open until 9pm on Thursdays, later than any other in the group.

Physiotherapy at Sinclair Avenue

Physiotherapy treatment and assessments are more than six in ten visits. If you are looking for a physiotherapist in Georgetown, five registered physiotherapists work here: Aqsa Murtuza Vasi, Hemanngiben Modi, Kripali Khakhkhar, Amarjot Kaur and Anureet Kaur. They treat back and neck pain, shoulder, hip and knee injuries, arthritis, recovery after surgery, sports injuries from the local hockey, soccer and running communities, and pain after car accidents and work injuries. Georgetown is one of two clinics with radial shockwave therapy for stubborn tendon problems such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy and tennis elbow.

Treatment starts with a one-to-one assessment and a plan you agree together, then combines manual therapy, a progressive exercise programme, education, and electrotherapy, ultrasound or shockwave where they suit the problem. Dedicated one-to-one sessions are available. Dry needling is available from physiotherapists rostered for it with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.

What we treat at Sinclair Avenue

Physiotherapy treatment is 52 per cent of attended visits at Georgetown, with new assessments another 12 per cent and dedicated one-to-one sessions seven per cent. Tendon and heel problems are a distinctive strand because this is one of two clinics with shockwave: Achilles tendinopathy affects about six per cent of the general population, plantar heel pain about one in ten over a lifetime. Older adults are another. Falls are the number one cause of injury among Canadians over 65, with 20 to 30 per cent falling each year and falls behind 85 per cent of seniors' injury hospitalisations (Public Health Agency of Canada). Strength and balance training is the intervention with the strongest evidence for preventing them. The physiotherapists also treat low back and neck pain, shoulder and knee injuries, rehab after surgery, sports injuries and pain after work and car accidents.

Heel pain and balance are two of the threads. The full list the Sinclair Avenue physiotherapists treat:

  • Plantar fasciitis, Achilles and other tendon problems
  • Low back pain, sciatica and neck pain
  • Shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries
  • Knee and hip pain, including arthritis
  • Ankle sprains and foot problems
  • Sports injuries and return to play
  • Rehab after surgery, fractures and joint replacement
  • Car accident and workplace injuries
  • Balance problems and fall prevention
  • Persistent pain and deconditioning

How treatment works

Assessment sets the plan. Hands-on treatment for restricted joints and tissue, a progressive strength and mobility programme, and plain advice on load, pacing and daily activity. Laser therapy, ultrasound and electrotherapy are used where they help. Radial shockwave is added within physiotherapy for tendon problems that have not responded to loading exercise. Custom orthotics are made on site, and chiropody is available in the same building for foot and nail care. For balance problems the plan is a structured programme of progressive strength and balance exercise over weeks, reviewed at each visit.

Your first visit

No referral is needed. The assessment is one-to-one with a registered physiotherapist: history, movement and strength testing, a working diagnosis in plain language and a plan you agree together. Treatment usually starts the same day. With hours to 9pm on weekdays, first visits after work are easy to book.

Also at this clinic

Registered acupuncture with Audrey Leslie, R.Ac, is busier here than at most of our clinics. Registered massage therapy is provided by Hardikkumar Barot and Kulvir Rana, chiropractic care by Dr. Kritika Soin, DC, and osteopathic manual practice by Kavneet Kaur. Your physiotherapist can bring any of them into your plan.

Hours, parking and getting here

Open Monday and Wednesday 10am to 8pm, Tuesday 9am to 7pm, Thursday 9am to 9pm, Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. Free parking at the building. Georgetown GO station is a short drive, and the clinic is just off Guelph Street (Highway 7).

Paying for physiotherapy

Georgetown has an even split of insured and privately paying patients, so fees are clear and quoted up front. The clinic bills most extended health plans directly and handles WSIB claims and works with your auto insurer for physiotherapy after a car accident.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral for physiotherapy in Georgetown?

No. You can book an assessment directly. Check whether your extended health plan needs a doctor's note for reimbursement.

How late is the clinic open?

Until 9pm on Thursdays, 8pm Monday and Wednesday, 7pm Tuesday, 5pm Friday, and 2pm on Saturday.

Can physiotherapy help with balance and preventing falls?

Yes, and it is one of the better-evidenced things physiotherapy does. One in four or five Canadians over 65 falls each year. A structured programme of progressive strength and balance exercise, set and reviewed by a physiotherapist, lowers that risk. The assessment looks at strength, balance, walking and any dizziness first.

My heel has hurt for months. What would you do?

Assess it first, because heel pain has several causes. For plantar fasciitis the plan is usually calf and foot loading exercise, advice on footwear and activity, and custom orthotics if your foot mechanics warrant them. If it has not responded after that, radial shockwave is available here within physiotherapy.

Do you offer shockwave therapy?

Yes. Georgetown has radial shockwave therapy, used within physiotherapy for stubborn tendon problems. Your physiotherapist decides at the assessment whether it suits your problem.

Is acupuncture available?

Yes. Audrey Leslie, R.Ac, provides registered acupuncture at the clinic, and it can be combined with physiotherapy.

Does the clinic direct bill insurance?

Yes, for most extended health plans, WSIB and auto insurance claims. Private-pay fees are quoted before you book.

Where is the clinic?

99 Sinclair Avenue, Unit 110, just off Guelph Street in Georgetown, with free parking at the building.

What Would Your Day Feel Like If You Weren't In Pain?

If you weren’t in pain, you would be able to do the things you want to do, like play with your grandchildren, or take that walk around the park with your dog, or perhaps participate in that athletic event with your co-workers. Stop letting pain control your life. Request an appointment and start your road to recovery!
