Physiotherapy in Vaughan - Woodbridge North
MedRehab Group Vaughan is a physiotherapy clinic at 10395 Weston Road, Building A, at Major Mackenzie Drive in northern Vaughan. It serves Vellore Village, Kleinburg and the new subdivisions around Major Mackenzie, and it is the closer of our two Vaughan clinics for anyone north of Rutherford Road.
Physiotherapy at Weston and Major Mackenzie
Physiotherapy is just over half of visits. Maria Abd Allha and Nishtha Patel treat back and neck pain, shoulder and knee injuries, arthritis, recovery after surgery, sports injuries, and pain after car accidents and work injuries. Your first visit is a one-to-one assessment with a registered physiotherapist, and treatment is built from what it shows: manual therapy, a home exercise programme progressed at each visit, education on managing the problem, and electrotherapy or ultrasound where they help. Dry needling is available from physiotherapists rostered for it with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
What we treat at Weston and Major Mackenzie
Physiotherapy is half of everything booked at this clinic, with chiropractic a strong second, so it suits people who want both under one roof. Knee pain is a frequent reason to come, whether from osteoarthritis, running or the local soccer and hockey leagues. Achilles and other tendon problems are common too: Achilles tendinopathy affects about six per cent of the general population and up to half of distance runners over a lifetime. The physiotherapists also treat low back and neck pain, shoulder injuries, rehab after surgery and fractures, and injuries from work and car accidents.
Knees and tendons are the theme of the week, not the whole job. Weston and Major Mackenzie physiotherapists treat:
- Knee pain, including osteoarthritis and ligament injuries
- Achilles, patellar and other tendon problems
- Low back pain, sciatica and neck pain
- Shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries
- Hip, ankle and foot pain
- Running and sports injuries
- Rehab after surgery and fractures
- Arthritis and stiffness
- Car accident and workplace injuries
- Headaches with a neck component
How treatment works
Assessment decides the plan. Hands-on treatment where a joint or tissue is restricted, a progressive strength and mobility programme, and clear advice on training load or daily activity. Laser therapy, ultrasound and electrotherapy are available where they help; custom orthotics are made on site. For knee osteoarthritis, exercise comes first because the OARSI 2019 and NICE 2022 guidelines both make it the core treatment. For tendon problems the plan is a graded loading programme over weeks, which is what the evidence supports over rest. Pelvic floor physiotherapy is also available here with Ramanpreet, a registered physiotherapist, for bladder and bowel control, pelvic pain and recovery after childbirth.
Your first visit
Book direct; no referral is needed. A registered physiotherapist takes your history, watches how you move, tests the painful area and explains what is going on. New assessments are about one visit in nine at this clinic. Treatment usually starts the same day and you leave with a first exercise and a plan. If chiropractic would help alongside, the referral happens at the front desk.
Also at this clinic
Registered massage therapy with Maria Luiza Alde, Shu Min Cong and Ying Wei is a fifth of everything booked here, and chiropractic care with Dr. Farah Ashhadi-Somehsaraei, DC is a larger share of this clinic's work than at most of our locations. Ying Wei is also a registered acupuncturist. Your physiotherapist can add any of these to your plan.
Hours, parking and getting here
Open Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. Free parking at the building. York Region Transit's Weston Road and Major Mackenzie routes stop at the corner, and Highway 400 is a short drive east.
Paying for physiotherapy
About six in ten visits are billed to an insurer; the rest are private pay, and fees are quoted before you book. The clinic bills most extended health plans directly and handles WSIB claims and works with your auto insurer for physiotherapy after a car accident.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Vaughan clinic is this?
The one at Weston Road and Major Mackenzie Drive, 10395 Weston Road, Building A. Our Woodbridge South clinic is at 8333 Weston Road near Langstaff, with a larger team.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book a physiotherapy assessment directly. Some extended health plans require a doctor's note for reimbursement.
Should I see a physiotherapist or a chiropractor first?
Either is a fine starting point and both are here. Physiotherapy suits injuries, post-surgical rehab and problems that need a strength and movement plan; chiropractic focuses on joint-based spinal care. If you are unsure, book a physiotherapy assessment and the physiotherapist will say plainly if chiropractic is the better fit.
Do you treat running injuries?
Yes: Achilles and patellar tendon problems, shin pain, plantar heel pain and knee pain are all common here. Rehab is a graded loading programme combined with a look at your training volume and footwear, with custom orthotics made on site if they are warranted.
Do you offer pelvic floor physiotherapy?
Yes. Ramanpreet, a registered physiotherapist at this clinic, provides pelvic floor physiotherapy for bladder and bowel control, pelvic pain and recovery after childbirth. Ask for her by name when you book.
Is the clinic open on Saturdays?
Yes, 9am to 2pm. Weekday hours are 10am to 6pm.
Do you offer chiropractic care here?
Yes. Dr. Farah Ashhadi-Somehsaraei, DC, sees patients at this clinic, and chiropractic is a larger part of the work here than at most of our locations.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking at the building.
Does the clinic direct bill insurance?
Yes, for most extended health plans, WSIB and auto insurance claims. Private-pay fees are quoted up front.
What Would Your Day Feel Like If You Weren't In Pain?
If you weren’t in pain, you would be able to do the things you want to do, like play with your grandchildren, or take that walk around the park with your dog, or perhaps participate in that athletic event with your co-workers. Stop letting pain control your life. Request an appointment and start your road to recovery!
