Massage therapy in Vaughan at Weston and Major Mackenzie
Welcome to Building A. Maria Luiza Alde, Shu Min Cong and Ying Wei are the Registered Massage Therapists at our Vaughan clinic, at 10395 Weston Road on the corner of Major Mackenzie Drive, where Woodbridge meets Vellore Village. Massage is more than one visit in five here, the highest share of any clinic in the group, and the reason is the neighbourhood: new subdivisions full of young families, and commuters who spend two hours a day on the 400 and the 407.

What the week looks like
Prenatal and postnatal massage is a weekly fixture, for low back and pelvic discomfort during pregnancy and for the neck and shoulder load of feeding and carrying afterwards. Commuter necks and low backs are the other constant. Around those come the gym and league injuries, the stress-and-sleep bookings, and people recovering from surgery. Ying Wei is also a registered acupuncturist, so a plan can combine the two where muscle tension and a wider pain picture overlap.
- Pre and post natal massage, side-lying with proper support
- Deep tissue and trigger point work for driving and desk tension
- Sports massage for strains and training recovery
- Relaxation massage for stress and poor sleep
- Acupuncture with Ying Wei, planned alongside massage where it helps
Massage with the rest of the team
Physiotherapists and a chiropractor work in the same clinic from the same notes. If your therapist finds that the tension keeps returning because of a weak shoulder or a stiff spinal joint, you are handed across without a second intake. Chiropractic is a bigger part of this clinic than most, so that conversation is a common one.
Your first visit
A conversation first: what hurts, since when, what you need to be able to do. Your therapist looks at how you move and where the tension sits, then agrees a plan with you before treatment starts in the same session. You undress to your comfort level, stay draped throughout, and set the pressure. If you are pregnant, say so when you book so the room is set up with the right bolsters.
Paying for massage
Most extended health plans cover registered massage therapy to an annual limit; all three therapists are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. We bill most major insurers directly. Massage carries 13% HST. After a collision, massage can be funded through your auto insurance accident benefits when it is part of an approved treatment plan; after a workplace injury it can be part of a WSIB program of care for an allowed claim.
Questions we hear in Vaughan
What are your hours? Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. Therapists keep their own days; ask when you book.
I need evenings. What are my options? Our Woodbridge South clinic, on Weston Road near Langstaff, has four massage therapists and is open until 7pm most weeknights and 8pm on Tuesdays. Maria Luiza Alde works at both.
Can I have massage while pregnant? Yes, throughout pregnancy, with side-lying positioning and pillows rather than lying face down. Let your therapist know about anything your doctor or midwife has flagged.
Can massage and acupuncture be combined? Yes. Ying Wei is registered in both, and the two can be planned as one course and billed as two services.
Do I need a referral? No. Check whether your insurer wants a doctor’s note for reimbursement.
Where is Building A? In the plaza on the north-east corner of Weston Road and Major Mackenzie Drive, with free parking. York Region Transit stops at the corner and Highway 400 is a short drive east.
