Physiotherapy Woodbridge•South
MedRehab Group Woodbridge is a physiotherapy clinic at 8333 Weston Road, Suite B05, on the east side of Weston between Highway 7 and Langstaff Road. It has served Woodbridge and southern Vaughan since the 1990s and is the head-office clinic for the group, with physiotherapists, two chiropractors, four registered massage therapists, an acupuncturist and an osteopathic practitioner.
Physiotherapy at the Weston Road clinic
Physiotherapy treatment and assessments are more than half of visits. Jacquelin Rotella, Nishtha Patel and Vishrutiben Sojitra treat back and neck pain, shoulder, hip and knee injuries, recovery after surgery, sports and gym injuries, and pain after car accidents and work injuries. Woodbridge also sees a good share of older patients with arthritis and balance problems, so gentle strengthening and fall-prevention programmes are a regular part of the work.
Treatment follows a one-to-one assessment and is adjusted at each visit: manual therapy, a progressive exercise programme, education, and electrotherapy or ultrasound where they add something. Dry needling is available from physiotherapists rostered for it.
What we treat at Weston Road
Arthritis is a bigger part of the picture here than at most clinics in the group, and the numbers explain why. More than six million Canadians, one adult in five, have arthritis, over four million of them osteoarthritis, and half of them are under 65 (Arthritis Society Canada). Knee and hip osteoarthritis, back and neck pain, shoulder problems and rehab after joint replacement are the daily work of the physiotherapists at Weston Road. Sports injuries, work injuries and pain after car accidents round it out.
Arthritis and post-operative rehab are the recurring themes. Beyond them, Weston Road physiotherapists treat:
- Knee and hip osteoarthritis
- Rehab after joint replacement and other surgery
- Low back pain, sciatica and neck pain
- Shoulder, elbow and wrist injuries
- Ankle sprains and foot pain
- Sports and gym injuries
- Fractures and soft-tissue injuries
- Car accident and work injuries
- Balance problems and fall prevention
- Persistent pain and deconditioning
How treatment works
For osteoarthritis the plan is exercise first, because every major guideline puts it there, then hands-on treatment for stiff joints, advice on pacing and weight-bearing, and modalities such as ultrasound or heat where they help. For post-operative rehab the physiotherapist follows the surgeon's protocol and progresses range of motion, strength and walking in stages. Canada performed 175,242 hip and knee replacements in 2024-25, up five per cent in a year (CIHI), and the rehab afterwards is what turns a new joint into a working one. Chiropractic, massage, acupuncture and osteopathy are on site if a combined plan makes sense.
Your first visit
The assessment is one-to-one with a registered physiotherapist: your history, how you move, testing of the painful joint, and a working diagnosis in plain language. New assessments are about one visit in seven here. You leave with a plan, a first exercise and a realistic estimate of visits. No referral is needed, and evening appointments run to 7pm.
Also at this clinic
Woodbridge offers the widest choice of complementary care in the group after Richmond Hill. Registered massage therapy with Christina Gutierrez, Epifania Mildred Millora, Ludmila Shmatnik and Luiza Alde is the second most-booked service. Chiropractic care is provided by Dr. Alvin De Leon, DC and Dr. Annamaria De Fina, DC. Registered acupuncture with Andrzej Sedlak and osteopathic manual practice with Alex Babin are also available, and your physiotherapist can bring any of them into your plan.
Hours, parking and getting here
Open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am to 7pm, Tuesday 9am to 8pm, Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 2pm. Free parking at the building. York Region Transit's Weston Road routes stop outside, and Highway 407 is a few minutes south.
Paying for physiotherapy
About two thirds of visits are billed to an insurer. The clinic bills most extended health plans directly and handles WSIB claims and works with your auto insurer for physiotherapy after a car accident. Private-pay fees are available from reception.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Woodbridge clinic is this?
The Weston Road clinic at 8333 Weston Road, Suite B05, between Highway 7 and Langstaff. Our other Vaughan clinic, Vaughan Woodbridge North, is at Weston Road and Major Mackenzie Drive.
Do I need a referral for physiotherapy?
No. You can book an assessment directly. Check whether your extended health plan needs a doctor's note for reimbursement.
Do you do rehab after knee or hip replacement?
Yes. Post-operative rehab is a regular part of this clinic's work. The physiotherapist follows your surgeon's protocol, progresses movement and strength in stages, and coordinates with the surgical team if anything is off track. Start as soon as you are discharged and cleared.
Will exercise make my arthritis worse?
Done properly, no. Exercise is the first-line treatment for knee and hip osteoarthritis in every major guideline because it reduces pain and improves function. The physiotherapist sets the type and amount so the joint is loaded enough to adapt without flaring.
Is the clinic open in the evening?
Yes, until 7pm Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and until 8pm on Tuesday. Saturday hours are 9am to 2pm.
Do you treat older adults with arthritis or balance problems?
Yes. Gentle strengthening, mobility and fall-prevention programmes are a regular part of physiotherapy here, and the clinic is at ground level with parking at the door.
Can I combine physiotherapy with chiropractic, massage or acupuncture?
Yes. All are available in the same clinic and reception can coordinate appointments so your plan stays joined up.
Does the clinic direct bill insurance?
Yes, for most extended health plans, WSIB and auto insurance claims.
What Would Your Day Feel Like If You Weren't In Pain?
