They even recognized/remembered me from when I first went there just about 3 years ago now for another concern I had at that time. They are absolute rockstars at this location. 5 out of 5 starsI have found that all of the Physio staff that have treated me at MedRehab are knowledgeable and helpful and professional. Rhoda has helped me so much to alleviate pain and I would not hesitate to refer friends and family. In fact I have already referred a number of people to this clinic. The Ladies at the front counter reception area are friendly and welcoming. Any appointments made are on time as per the schedule.

5 out of 5 starsI've had the most amazing experience with MedRehab Pickering! From the moment I called in to request an appointment to the day I completed my treatment, I've always been met with so much kindness and great customer service from Catherine and the ladies at the front desk! My physiotherapist, Rhoda, was incredible - she was kind, friendly, so knowledgeable, and the exercises, stretches, and treatment she provided me with helped me recover quickly and just in time to go back to school!

5 out of 5 starsMany thanks to MedRehab Pickering! I have improved so much in overall muscle strength and body posture, in a relatively short period of time. I just started sessions working with a great physiotherapist Dharini. She is very knowledgeable, and has patience in showing me the correct way to do the exercises, to be able to have continued results, and long lasting impact on wellness. All the staff that I met at MedRehab Group, including Teena and Rhoda in Pickering are amazing!

5 out of 5 starsWalked into MedRehab Pickering, with hip pain , walking was painful and at a 9. In physiotherapist Teena's capable hands with just 4 sessions, I can walk without pain or a limp. Highly recommend Teena she's awesome and this clinic.

5 out of 5 starsI was struggling with my ankles and it was really affecting my daily activities. Tina was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the entire process. She carefully assessed the issue, explained everything clearly, and created a treatment plan that truly worked. Rachelle is also a great physiotherapist and Steve is an excellent chiropractor — both very professional and supportive. I’m very satisfied with the care.

5 out of 5 starsMy experience with Dr. Teena so far has been wonderful. She has helped me recover from postpartum back pain through physiotherapy treatments and exercise, and also helped me discover which part of my body needed more strength training. I'm grateful for her attentiveness.

5 out of 5 starsSo happy I found MedRehab through Google and liked their positive reviews. Pleased to share my experience for treatment of severe plantar fasciitis. Reception girls were always bubbly and pleasant to deal with. Rhoda my RT treated my sore feet and after just a few sessions I have great improvement in my pain when walking. Stop looking, don't delay, just call and get treated at MedRehab. No more walking on Lego!

5 out of 5 starsI have been dealing with pain from a hip injury and planter fasciitis for a few years and tried many different methods of using exercise to heal but the pain was not subsiding. I got an appointment with Teena at Medrehab in Pickering and told her I wanted treatment for my pain first before I started exercises to strengthen the areas. Teena listened to me and developed a plan that included physio, stretching and shockwave therapy to help reduce the pain. My mobility has improved and my pain levels are way down in just a few weeks. The receptionists are extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Teena and the team at Medrehab in Pickering.

5 out of 5 starsThis year, I had struggled to find a massage that truly worked for me. Although my initial session here fell short, the admin team followed up promptly, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring a positive customer experience. They recommended a therapist who proved to be an excellent fit, and the subsequent appointment was the best I’ve had all year.

5 out of 5 starsI've used Med Rehab for both massage therapy, and most recently physio therapy. My experience in physiotherapy with Teena has been incredible. Sitting at a desk for the last 25 years for work has earned me constant neck and back pain. I always just assumed it was something I had to live with. I do not have to live with it. and neither do you. Use your benefits, and make your life more comfortable. Can't say enough about my experience. and Teena specifically. Incredible.

Chiropractic in Pickering
Welcome. If your back has seized on the 401, your neck will not turn after a long week at a desk, or you have been putting up with a stiff spine for months, this is a good place to start. Our Kingston Road clinic is at 1105 Kingston Road, Unit 11, near Liverpool Road, a short drive from Pickering GO. Dr. Steve Cho, our Doctor of Chiropractic, works alongside physiotherapists, three acupuncturists and one of the largest massage teams in the group, so whatever is behind your pain, the right person is down the hall.
New to this treatment? How chiropractic care works, and when to see a chiropractor rather than a physiotherapist.
The clinic runs 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday, which is why so many people from Ajax, Bay Ridges, Liverpool and north to Brock Road fit an appointment around a commute.
What we see a lot of here
Pickering is a commuter clinic and it shows. Low back pain that arrives after the drive or the GO train, and neck pain from the desk at the other end, are the two things Dr. Cho sees most. Car accident injuries are the third: this clinic treats more collision patients than most in the group, and whiplash is usually planned together with the physiotherapists. Chiropractic is a smaller share of visits here than at our York Region clinics, which means appointments are usually easy to get.
That said, we treat the whole range:
- Low back pain, sudden or long-standing, and sciatica once serious causes are ruled out
- Neck pain, stiffness and headaches that begin in the neck
- Pain between the shoulder blades and around the ribs
- Whiplash and other injuries after a collision
- Hip and shoulder problems where the joint mechanics matter
- Back and pelvic pain in pregnancy, with adapted techniques
- Stiffness in older adults, treated with gentler mobilisation
How Dr. Cho works
Assessment first, every time. Then a mix of joint manipulation, slower mobilisation, soft tissue work and a few exercises to keep the change, chosen for you and explained before it is used. You stay dressed, you consent to each technique, and you can ask for gentler work at any point. The click you may hear is gas releasing inside the joint, not bones moving, and a quiet adjustment works just as well.
If the assessment shows your problem is really a weak or unstable joint, a sports injury or something that needs a doctor first, he will say so and walk you to the right colleague rather than book you for more of the same.
Your first visit in Pickering
Allow forty-five minutes to an hour. Dr. Cho takes your history, asks what you want to get back to, watches how your spine moves, tests strength and nerves where relevant, and screens for anything that should go elsewhere. You leave with a plain-language explanation, a plan with a rough number of visits and something to do at home. Treatment usually starts the same day. Wear something you can move in.
Paying for chiropractic
OHIP does not cover chiropractic, but most extended health plans through work do, to an annual limit, and we bill most major insurers directly so you pay only the part your plan does not. There is no HST on chiropractic. After a car accident it can be funded through your auto insurance accident benefits when it is part of an approved treatment plan, and after a workplace injury it can sit inside a WSIB program of care. Bring your claim number and we handle the forms.
Questions people ask us in Pickering
Which days is Dr. Cho in? Chiropractic follows his schedule rather than the clinic’s 8am to 8pm hours, so ask when you book and request him by name.
Do I need a referral? No. A few insurers want a doctor’s note before they reimburse; check your plan.
I have already seen a physiotherapist here. Can I add chiropractic? Yes, and it is common. The two work from shared notes, so you are not starting over.
Can acupuncture help if my pain has plateaued? Often. Our Pickering acupuncture team has three registered practitioners, and Dr. Cho refers across when hands-on treatment has done what it can.
Where do I park? Free parking at the plaza on Kingston Road. Durham Region Transit’s Kingston Road routes stop nearby.
Do you see people from Ajax? Many. Pickering is our only Durham clinic.
