5 out of 5 starsAqsa was amazing for the physiotherapy on my teenage son’s knees. Her hands on treatment along with laser therapy saw great progress in a short period of time. She gave him a reasonable set of exercises with clear explanations that he was able to follow along with easily. Highly recommend and will keep her in mind for future needs

5 out of 5 starsI’d like to start by saying that my massage therapist, Hardik, recommended this clinic for physiotherapy, and I’m so glad he did. From my very first visit, the front desk staff have been incredibly warm and welcoming. They always greet me by name, and I especially appreciate the patience and understanding they showed when I was initially late for appointments and even missed one. If you’re attending physiotherapy, chances are your schedule is already full of medical appointments, and they never once made me feel uncomfortable or judged for the scheduling inconveniences I caused. Supreet, who administers the ultrasound and electrical stimulation treatments, is always pleasant, kind, and professional. She consistently makes each visit a positive experience. My physiotherapist, Amarjot, has also been exceptional. She is patient, knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. She regularly checks in to see how each exercise feels, especially when introducing new ones to challenge my recovery, ensuring I’m comfortable while still making progress. She has educated me on the importance of strengthening surrounding muscles as they impact the overall mobility of my knee and ability to bear weight. We’ve had some difficulty finding a knee brace that fits properly, but I have complete confidence in the professionalism and dedication of this team. I truly believe they’ll find the right solution to provide the support I need. Overall, I’ve had a wonderful experience at this clinic and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for compassionate, knowledgeable, and patient-focused care.

5 out of 5 starsI've experienced my second traumatic knee dislocation and i'd still be bedridden if it wasn't for Aqsa (PT), Surpreet & Jazz! These ladies have quite literally given me my quality of life back. I'm not 100% yet but I know stairs and driving aren't too far away... Aqsa is incredibly knowledgeable, has angelic healing hands, and everyones bedside manner and professionalism is top notch. I feel seen, heard, validated when I go there. The methods used are so restorative, what took me MONTHS to accomplish previously with other PT's in 2018 only took me a few weeks with MedRehab. I look forward to seeing you all again soon, and to 'getting my groove back'. I'll be running around in circles in no time. Thank you again, I don't know what I would do without you all. Thank you for teaching me how to walk again. <3 Can not reccomend Aqsa to anyone who is in such pain and needs help. You won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 starsWhen I found myself in need of physio, I turned to Google. After reading many reviews, it lead me to meet the great group at MedRehab Georgetown. You are welcomed by the lovely team at the front desk, who will go above and beyond to accommodate your schedule and assist with insurance inquiries without hesitation. Aqsa is fantastic! She has great energy, and takes the time to explain the treatment plan to benefit your overall health and success. She does some of exercises along with you to be sure you're comfortable with them. You come first, and she adjusts the treatment for you if needed. Aqsa and her assistant Supreet compliment each other well and that shows in their client care. MedRehab Georgetown is a wonderful clinic. They are all your biggest cheerleaders in your physiotherapy journey, which is appreciated more than they know.

Acupuncture in Georgetown
Welcome to Sinclair Avenue. Audrey Leslie is the registered acupuncturist at our Georgetown clinic, 99 Sinclair Avenue, Unit 110, a block off Guelph Street, and she works inside a full rehabilitation team: five physiotherapists, a chiropractor, two massage therapists and an osteopath, all sharing one file. That changes what acupuncture is for here. Rather than a stand-alone treatment, it is the tool the team reaches for when pain, muscle tension or a slow recovery is holding a plan back.
New to this treatment? Acupuncture treatment, safety and insurance.
What we treat with acupuncture in Georgetown
The research is strongest for pain, and that is how Audrey uses it: persistent low back and neck pain that has plateaued with hands-on work, knee pain from osteoarthritis, tension-type headaches and migraine prevention, and the tight, tender muscle problem that underlies a lot of neck and shoulder trouble. Around one visit in twenty at this clinic is acupuncture, and most of those come by referral from a physiotherapist down the hall.
- Chronic low back and neck pain, especially where tension keeps returning
- Headaches and migraine, as a way of reducing how often they come
- Knee, hip and shoulder pain, including osteoarthritis
- Tight muscles that limit progress in physiotherapy or massage
- Recovery after a collision, as part of a plan with our physiotherapists
- Stress, poor sleep and fatigue that sit alongside a pain problem
Acupuncture within traditional Chinese medicine covers far more than sore backs, and Audrey sees people for the wider range too, assessed in the traditional framework and treated with the same sterile single-use needles:
- Stress, anxiety and trouble sleeping
- Digestive complaints such as bloating, reflux and irritable bowel symptoms
- Women’s health: painful or irregular periods, menopause symptoms, and support alongside fertility care
- Pregnancy-related nausea, back pain and discomfort, with points adapted to each stage
- Seasonal allergies, sinus congestion and recurring colds
- Fatigue and low energy
- Jaw pain, teeth clenching and TMJ symptoms
- Nerve symptoms such as tingling and numbness, once serious causes are ruled out
- Recovery after illness or surgery, and general wellbeing
Where the evidence is strongest you will hear that, and where it is thinner you will hear that too; nobody here is paid to keep you coming.
What acupuncture will not do is unlock a stiff joint, repair a torn ligament or replace the strengthening that fixes a weak one. If the assessment shows the problem is structural, you are referred to the physiotherapists at our Georgetown clinic or the chiropractor in the same building.
What a session is like
Fine, sterile, single-use needles are placed at points chosen for your problem and left in for twenty to thirty minutes while you rest. Most people feel a brief prick and then a dull ache, heaviness or warmth at the point, which is the intended sensation, and many find the session relaxing. Small bruises at needle sites are common and harmless. You can drive and go back to work afterwards.
Your first appointment
Longer than a follow-up, usually forty-five minutes to an hour. Audrey takes a full history, including things that may seem unrelated, sleep, digestion, stress, because traditional assessment looks at the whole picture, then examines the area and explains what she proposes. Wear loose clothing that rolls above the knee and elbow, and eat something light beforehand.
Coverage
Most extended health plans cover acupuncture when it is provided by a registered acupuncturist, usually to an annual limit, and Audrey is registered with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. We bill most major insurers directly. Acupuncture from a registered acupuncturist is exempt from HST and is not covered by OHIP. After a collision it can be funded through your auto insurance accident benefits when it is part of an approved treatment plan.
Questions we hear in Georgetown
What are your hours? Monday and Wednesday 10am to 8pm, Tuesday 9am to 7pm, Thursday 9am to 9pm, Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 9am to 2pm. Acupuncture runs on Audrey’s days; ask when you book.
How many sessions will I need? Usually a course of four to eight, once or twice a week, then a review. If nothing has changed after a fair trial, the plan changes rather than continuing.
Can I have acupuncture and physiotherapy in the same plan? Yes, and it is the usual pattern here. Separate appointments, shared notes, and insurance usually covers each under its own category.
Does it hurt? Rarely. The needles are far thinner than injection needles. Say so if anything feels sharp and it is adjusted.
Do I need a referral? No. Some insurers want a doctor’s note; check your plan.
Where do I park? Free parking at the building; the clinic is Unit 110. Georgetown GO is a few minutes away.
